AUAS Library
Support
The Library offers support to students, teachers and researchers. The information specialists keep accurate information for you on topics such as: copyright, source citing, thesis writing, open access or registering research.
Copyright
Are you allowed to quote from someone else's work, or use an image found on the internet for your thesis or dissertation? Who has the copyright on a submitted thesis or completed research? Important information about copyright can be found on the Library page in MyAUAS.
Acknowledging sources
Nobody wants to be accused of plagiarism. Therefore, mention your sources correctly in your thesis or paper. Use the tips and tools from the Library.
Publishing your thesis
Finished your thesis? The AUAS Library can publish your AUAS thesis in the 'HBO Kennisbank' so it will be available worldwide. How can you get your thesis included in the HBO Kennisbank?
Open Teaching Materials
To make online education possible, the availability of good online learning resources is essential. This is not just about learning materials that have to be paid for. There are also many learning resources freely available. More and more teachers worldwide are sharing their teaching materials for free via online platforms. The Library can advise you on purchasing, finding, using, creating and sharing online teaching materials.
Open Access
Making research results openly available, also known as open access, is important for the visibility, findability and (accelerated) reuse of the results of lecturers and teacher-researchers at the AUAS..
Pure: Registration and Reporting
Researchers at the AUAS can record data about their publications and other research output in Pure and make it accessible worldwide. Pure is also used for reporting.
Visibility of research
To increase the impact of your research, it is essential that your research results are clearly visible and findable, and if possible openly accessible (open access). The actual impact of your research can be visualized with traditional bibliometrics, such as citation counts, as well as alternative metrics.
