Working together on the future of fashion

During panels, keynote speeches, and workshops, participants gained new insights into sustainability, digitalization, and the future of fashion education. Fashion programs around the world appear to face similar challenges. Rapid developments call for new educational models and close collaboration.

IFFTI once again provided an important platform for sharing knowledge and strengthening collaborations. The AMFI team was able to deepen existing relationships and establish new connections with partners such as the London College of Fashion, RMIT, IFM Paris, AMD, FIT New York, LASALLE College of the Arts, and MMU. The shared conclusion was clear: international collaboration remains essential for developing future-proof fashion education.

Award for research on regenerative fashion

A major highlight was the Senior Faculty Award presented to researchers Ellis and Merunisha. Their paper, “Tracing the Elephant: An educational framework for navigating the complexity of regenerative fashion,” was recognized for its innovative approach.

After their presentation, international colleagues had the opportunity to actively work with the framework and exchange experiences during a workshop.
