QC workshop

Professorship by special appointment Applied Quantum Computing at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences is actively contributing to the second edition of the Introduction to Quantum Computing Workshop. In this six-week workshop, undergraduate students are introduced to the fascinating world of quantum technology, a rapidly evolving field.

The workshop series offers a powerful combination of fundamental knowledge and hands-on experience. Students learn the basics of quantum computing, from qubits and linear algebra to quantum logic and applications such as quantum encryption.

What makes the workshop particularly special is its practical component: participants work with Qiskit and run their own quantum circuits on real quantum computers. This makes abstract theory immediately tangible.

Collaboration between knowledge institutions

The workshop is organized in collaboration with several universities of applied sciences and universities, including the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, The Hague University of Applied Sciences, Fontys, and Saxion. Researchers from the AUAS Applied Quantum Technology research group are contributing to the program’s content and supervision.

This collaboration makes knowledge about quantum technology more accessible and creates a robust learning environment where students can develop their skills in this rapidly growing field.

Investing in the future of quantum computing

With this initiative, the Applied Quantum Computing Research Group emphasizes the importance of practice-oriented education and research. By introducing students to quantum computing at an early stage, it contributes to the development of a new generation of professionals who are ready for the future of technology.
