Social impact RKC Waalwijk Foundation
Project
RKC Waalwijk Football Club promotes vitality and mental well-being in the town through projects such as ‘Ieder1Gelijk’ (focusing on respect and bullying) and ‘Scoor een Boek!’ (promoting reading). With the support of researchers from the Sport Management & Sport Business research group, they are measuring their social impact.
Theory of Change
The Theory of Change is a visual diagram that illustrates how activities contribute to social impact. It links impact and activities, thereby clarifying how an organisation intends to achieve its goals. The research group supports RKC Waalwijk with impact measurement. By collecting and analysing data, researchers gain insight into the effectiveness of the football club’s projects.
For years, RKC Waalwijk has demonstrated that working systematically with the Theory of Change creates greater impact and makes that impact measurable and transparent. We are now taking the next step in this process!

Objective
This project has a twofold objective. On the one hand, we provide insight into the impact of the RKC Waalwijk Foundation; on the other, we support the organisation and its staff in carrying out impact assessments independently.
Methodology
Using the Theory of Change methodology, we investigate the impact of the RKC Waalwijk Foundation’s projects through quantitative and qualitative methods.
Expected results
Based on the analysed data, we will produce a detailed report setting out our findings, conclusions and recommendations. This report will provide RKC Waalwijk with valuable insights and practical tools to improve the social impact of their projects.
