Arrival webinars
To help you prepare for your arrival in the Netherlands, the arrival team hosts interactive webinars before the start of each semester.
During the 'Arriving in Amsterdam' webinars, international students are informed about the following topics:
- How to get around Amsterdam & the Netherlands
- How to register with the municipality (mandatory)
- Moving in to your new home
- Where to pick up your student ID card
- How to open a bank account (mandatory for non-EU students)
- Insurances (mandatory)
- How to collect your residence permit (for non-EU students)
- Sustainability in the Netherlands
You will also have the opportunity to ask questions to international office staff and there will be optional break-out rooms at the end of the webinar to get to know other international students. We will host our next webinar in January 2025. Our last webinars for arriving students took place in January 2024 and August 2024. Watch the videos below.
