Maryna Rusthoven (1984, Ukraine) has been working for the Amsterdam School of International Business since August 2010, teaching various subjects in management and marketing to students from years one to three, as well as supervising internships and theses. As of February 2013, Mrs Rusthoven is a PhD candidate of the Lectorate Differentiated Human Resource Management. The title of her research is: ‘East meets West: The influence of national and organizational cultural context on supervisor evaluations of employee proactive behaviour and voice behaviour in particular’.
Mrs Rusthoven feels that technology, textbooks used in the classroom, and subjects taught and things that can be copied, but AMSIB has something that is hard to copy: its international staff. This makes the whole experience of working and studying at AMSIB invaluable. Mrs Rusthoven hopes for even more diversity in the years to come in the staff and student population of AMSIB.
Prior to teaching, Mrs Rusthoven’s work experience included marketing roles for Philips (the Netherlands), Process Plant Computing ltd (UK), Intel (Belgium) and the International Institute for Learning (Germany).
Mrs Rusthoven has a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from the European University Viadrina (Germany), a Professional Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK) and a Master’s Degree in Business Studies with a specialisation in Information Management from the University of Amsterdam. Since 2012, Mrs Rusthoven has a Chartered Marketer status. At the moment, Mrs Rusthoven is working on her PhD on proactive behaviour.
