Dr Deborah Tappi joined the Amsterdam School of International Business in September 2013 as a lecturer of Economics and Research, and Learning Line Coordinator for Economics in the Curriculum re-Design.

Business profile

Before joining AMSIB, Dr Tappi gained extensive experience in university and business related research, as well as consultancy and sales. As an educator, she strives to help students reach their life goals and realize their excellence by teaching them to value knowledge, believe in themselves and exercise discipline, teamwork, and consistency. In the end as Jim Rohn said, ‘it is the set of the sails that determines our direction, not the blowing of the wind.’

Dr Tappi has worked previously as a Research Assistant at the Faculty of Economics of the Marche Polytechnic (Italy), as a researcher at the Max Planck Institute, as an Export Manager of Koenitz Porcellain (Germany), as a postdoc researcher at the TU in Eindhoven (Netherlands), as Knowledge Manager of Spencer Stuart International, and as a Senior Consultant at the Global Intelligence Alliance.

Educational profile

Dr Tappi holds a PhD in Economics from Max Planck Institute (Germany) and a Master’s in Economics from the Marche Polytechnic (Ancona, Italy). Dr Tappi was born in Cesena, Italy. She engages in several entrepreneurial activities in coaching and consulting and she has a passion for writing, sports, and traveling.
