B.M. van den Berg (Bjorn)
Head of International Marketing and Corporate RelationsThe real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes. – Marcel Proust
Bjorn Martin van den Berg has worked in international higher education since 2002. For the past years, he has combined his experience in marketing and recruitment in higher education with his innovative approaches, to advise the management of AMSIB on opportunities in the international business community. By developing the International Business Advisory Board, in which international companies and organisations meet together with local governments, he is able to support both the business school and its students. Partners in this board include (amongst others): ABN AMRO, General Electric, Amsterdam in Business, Philips, and IDEXX.
The Amsterdam School of International Business offers students and staff the opportunity to grow and develop by combining a professional approach to education with a strong link to the business community. Mr. Van den Berg believes that striving to maintain such a practice will empower AMSIB students to be well-prepared for the global labour market.
Mr van den Berg is a frequent traveller. Meetings with prospective students, alumni, and representatives of the business community, have continually taken him to various places around the globe. His destinations have included countries such as India, Indonesia, China, Bulgaria, Germany, the United States and Romania.
