Daniel de Bruin has a great passion for Education and Philosophy, Personal and Professional Development & Sport in general and Martial Arts in particular. As a teacher/coach in both Sportkunde - leerroute SM&O track and Sport Studies - track ISMB, he teaches Martial Arts, Team Sport, Ethics, Philosophy of Sport and supervises graduate students.

Daniel once started his education on the same campus where he now works. In 2010, he completed the Academy of Physical Education (ALO) where he specialised in Martial Arts, Self-Defence and Aggression Management.

Daniel continued his academic career by obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Educational Sciences and a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Philosophy at the University of Utrecht. He then completed a two-year course in Coaching and Personal & Professional Development at Corael (NLP, TA, Systemic Work).

As a sports entrepreneur, Daniel owned a foundation that taught martial arts for the personal development of at-risk youth and was co-owner of a jiu-jitsu gym in Amsterdam. Besides Martial Arts, Daniel is a great lover of outdoor sports and fanatic in bouldering.
