Mette Bruinsma is working as a researcher at the university-wide research group Higher Education, Research and Innovation since June 2020. She focuses on the integration of research and education and on the approach of AUAS as a ‘knowledge institution’.

Mette has an academic background in the history and philosophy of science and is in the final phase of her PhD research undertaken at Glasgow University, Scotland. In this research, she addresses the intellectual value of knowledge productions by student-geographers in their undergraduate dissertations, as well as the social and cultural experiences and value of dissertation studies within the undergraduate curriculum.
