Koen van Dijk is a pediatric occupational therapist, lecturer and researcher at the Occupational Therapy Department of the Amsterdam School of Higher professional Education (Hogeschool van Amsterdam) in the Netherlands.

He graduated in 1999 as an occupational therapist (BSc OT) at the Occupational Therapy Department of the Amsterdam School of Higher professional Education (Hogeschool van Amsterdam) in the Netherlands, and finished his European Master of Science in Occupation Therapy in 2007. He has involved in practice since 1999, fulltime until 2011 in several positions and practices. He combined his practice with research projects since 2004.

He has been teaching in several Eastern European countries for ENOTHE and other NGOs since 2002 in pediatric occupational therapy with a focus on Cerebral palsy. Since 2010 he started teaching in the Bachelor program of the Occupational Therapy Department of the Amsterdam School of Higher professional Education (Hogeschool van Amsterdam. His focus with the bachelor program is pediatric occupational therapy, minor Child and Youth (with an interprofessional focus). In 2016 he developed the post graduate program for Pediatric Occupational Therapists and is involved in teaching.

His expertise is in the area of occupational therapy assessment validation and research (School-AMPS), pediatric rehabilitation. Currently he is focusing on teaching and practice within the Occupation Therapy Department at the Amsterdam School of Higher professional Education (Hogeschool van Amsterdam) in the Netherlands.

In 2012 he was involved in the development of Polifysiek, academic work and learning project for students in the faculty of Health, with a focus on cardiac rehabilitation. Developed several return to work interventions from an occupational therapy perspective.), he participated and developed two MOHO instruments for the Dutch context. He is (co)-author and editor of the Ergovaardig books, with a focus on occupational therapy skills education and teaching.

Since 2017 he is involved in the Partnering for Change (P4C) with Lectoraat Autonomy and Participation of Zuyd Hogeschool in Heerlen and involved in Follow You research of ACHIEVE in Amsterdam.
