Mr M.M.J.M. Pelt (Maurice) MSc
Lecturer and researcherMaurice Pelt works as an Aviation Engineering lecturer-researcher, leading the Monitoring modern materials and systems research theme. The main focus of his research is the ultrasonic verification of composite materials. This novel method of non-destructive testing using ultrasonic signals has significant operational advantagesin aviation. Maurice also contributes to the Honours curriculum of Aviation Engineering and coaches graduation students.
In addition, Maurice leads the Process Optimizationsection for Industrial Management and is Chairman of the Board of Engineering Examiners at HvA.
Before he joined HvA, Maurice worked for Tata Steel (Hoogovens IJmuiden) and Deloitte Consulting. Maurice has an MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering from Delft University of Technology, is Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and is Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma.
