Study load: what to expect
The Master Sport Business & Leadership is a full-time, intensive programme. Each week includes around 20 contact hours and at least 20 hours of self-study and project work. Expect a demanding schedule, especially around deadlines. On this page, you'll find what your weekly workload looks like.
Contact time
As a student in the Master’s programme, you will have approximately 20 contact hours per week. During these hours, you will engage in various activities, including:
- Lectures and seminars
- Coaching sessions
- Feedback and group discussions
Attendance is strongly recommended to successfully complete the programme on time.
- One contact hour equals 50 minutes of instruction.
- Over the course of the year, you are expected to complete a total of 1,680 study hours (equivalent to 60 ECTS credits).
Self-Study
In addition to the contact hours, you are expected to spend around 20 hours per week on:
- Working on projects and research with your client
- Completing assignments
- Preparing for lessons and exams through self-study
Please note: these hours are indicative and represent the minimum effort required to complete the programme. The Master Sport Business & Leadership is an intensive, full-time programme. At busy times (e.g. near deadlines), you may need to dedicate additional hours to self-study and group work.
