Quality of Care for Older People
Optimising Elderly Care Across the Entire Chain
The ageing population in the Netherlands leads to more chronic illnesses and a growing demand for care, with 80% of those aged 75+ living with a chronic condition. At the same time, healthcare faces staff shortages, expected to reach 137,000 by 2032, particularly in nursing homes and home care. With increasing treatment options and care at home, healthcare professionals face major challenges. The Quality of Care for Older People research group studies what is needed to ensure the best care.
