The Visual Methodologies Collective develops visual methods for practice-based research on social issues and debates. The research group studies, among other things, the role of images in digital culture. One example is research into the visual culture surrounding climate change.

The Climate Imaginaries at Sea project explores possible future scenarios in and around water through various artistic and participatory research methods. To facilitate this, three dedicated studios have been established.

Games can reinforce our identity and engage new voices in European values and culture. EPIC-WE aims to promote vibrant cultural hubs across Europe and foster cultural expression through gaming.

The Urban Belonging project investigates how urban spaces contribute to residents’ sense of connection. Using visual and digital methods, personal and shared stories are mapped to gain deeper insights into urban social dynamics. We bring together researchers, experts, citizens, and students to address local issues through participatory data practices.
