The Faculty of Applied Social Sciences and Law is rooted in the first School of Social Work in the world, which was founded in 1899 in Amsterdam. As a result, Social Work is truly embedded in the city’s society and traditions. The Faculty's exchange programmes in social work, law, psychology and public management are all given in English. You will also do a comparative assignment that brings you in direct contact with social work practice in Amsterdam.
Exchange students at the faculty of Applied Social Sciences and Law study for 1 or 2 semesters under the terms of a bilateral agreement between our faculty and their home university. To find out whether your home university has an agreement with us, consult the list of our partner institutions.
