Prof. W. Stilma (Willemke)
Willemke Stilma is a lecturer in the Nursing programme and programme coordinator in the Critical Care Master's programme. In particular, she teaches courses focused on scientific research (Evidence Based Practice) and nursing clinical reasoning.
In June 2023, Willemke obtained her PhD on the topic 'Airway care and prone positioning in intensive care patients.' Her PhD was the result of a fruitful collaboration between AUAS and the Intensive Care Unit of the Amsterdam UMC, location AMC. Since July 2023, Willemke combines her work as a postdoctoral researcher with the positions of lecturer and programme coordinator.
After studying Dutch Law, Willemke took the dual HBO-V course. The Intensive Care training brought her clinical depth and challenge. The university master's in Evidence Based Practice gave her the opportunity to develop at a scientific level as well.
