Succesful Round Table Conference

On the 26th of June, the Aviation Academy of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences was proud to host the Round Table Conference ‘Monitoring Composite Structures’. The Round Table Conference united researchers and practioners from the industry to exchange thoughts on the developments in monitoring techniques of composites and its practical application.
After an introduction by Maurice Pelt regarding the conference topic and guest speakers, Peter J. Kortbeek from Fokker Aerostructures continued with a presentation on the requirements for monitoring systems. Afterwards, Roger Groves presented the research conducted at Delft University of Technology. Rolf Evenblij presented the activities of Technofobis. Engineering Manager Theo Versteeg concluded with a presentation on monitoring composite structures at Arkefly.
During an expert panel discussion led by John Verbeek of the Aviation Academy, Rogier Nijsen lector Hogeschool Inholland and research scientist from Knowledge center WMC, Giel Vaessen from NAC, Jeroen de Vries from KvE, and Maarten de Vlieger from Airborne were able to deliberate on the subject. The session concluded with a network drink.
The Aviation Academy would like to thank all guest speakers and expert panel members for the effort put into making the Round Table Conference a success.
