Aviation Management

The Aviation Operations research unit, founded in 2013, is part of the Aviation Academy Research Department of the School of Technology of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.

Research of the Aviation Management unit is driven by the growth for the European aviation industries. Our central focus is: How can aviation accommodate the expected growth – twice as many aircraft within 20 years- with increasingly stricter regulations and environmental limitations? We mainly research topics such as the spill-over from large airports, optimal use of existing capacity for the region and capacity improvements at airports.
