Saskia Stoker

Researcher

Saskia Stoker is a lecture and researcher at the AUAS, in the Business & Economics faculty. She is responsible for teaching the subjects research methodology, inclusivity and related subjects. Saskia is also the supervisor of the thesis students and coaches the student ambassadors diversity & inclusion working at the AUAS. 

Saskia also works as a researcher at the knowledge centre of the Faculty of Business and Economics of the Hogeschool van Amsterdam. CAREM is an expertise centre for practice-based scientific research. Here she contributes to projects such as: WeRin. In 2021, Saskia started her PhD research under the supervision of Dr. Ingrid Wakkee (professor Entrepreneurship) & Prof. Svetlana Khapova (VU): "embedding female entrepreneurs in entrepreneurial ecosystems".

Projects

Saskia is project leader of the European project "WeRin". A pioneering EU programme to increase the share of female graduate entrepreneurs. As women represent around 60% of higher education graduates, their under-representation among start-ups is a very clear challenge. WeRIn is a 3-year project to create an inclusive ecosystem.
