European Master of Science in Occupational Therapy part-time
Admission requirements
Check below if you meet the admission requirements for the OT-EuroMaster. After checking the requirements, you can find detailed application instructions in the How to apply guide.
Educational background
To be directly admitted to the OT‑EuroMaster, you need:
- a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy
- strong written and spoken English skills at an academic level (see list of accepted tests below)
If you hold an Occupational Therapy qualification below Bachelor of Science level, additional admission requirements apply.
English language requirements
You must demonstrate English proficiency with an overall band score of at least 6.5 on the IELTS Academic test (the online version is not accepted).
The following test scores are accepted as equivalent to IELTS 6.5:
- TOEFL Paper: 575
- TOEFL Computer: 232
- TOEFL Internet: 90
- TOEIC: Listening & Reading 720, combined with Speaking & Writing 310
- Cambridge Advanced (CAE): Grade C (scale 180–192)
These are the only alternative test scores accepted by AUAS.
Exceptions to the English test requirement
If English is your native language, or if you have completed your Bachelor’s degree in English, you may not need to take an English test.
Professional background
The European MSc in Occupational Therapy is primarily for qualified occupational therapists who wish to continue their academic and professional development. The programme does not provide a professional qualification or licence to practise as an occupational therapist.
If you are not an occupational therapist, you may still apply by submitting:
- an extensive portfolio
- a letter of motivation
These documents must show that you have sufficient knowledge of Occupational Therapy and/or Occupational Science and that you meet the required entrance competences, which are described in the How to apply guide.
