European Master of Science in Occupational Therapy part-time

How to apply for the OT‑EuroMaster

Application for the OT‑EuroMaster is open from 1 October until the end of April. You must complete your Studielink registration and upload all required documents before 1 May. We advise you to start early, because collecting documents and planning your English test can take several weeks.

Step 1 – Check if you qualify

Before you apply, check if you meet the admission criteria. You need a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy, or an equivalent OT qualification, or a Bachelor of Science in a field related to OT plus a suitable portfolio. You also need an Academic IELTS score of 6.5 or an accepted equivalent test score.

Step 2 – Register in Studielink

Between 1 October and the end of April, register for the programme in Studielink.nl (opens in new window). If you live in the Netherlands, log in with your DigiD. If you live outside the Netherlands, create a Studielink account with a username and password. In Studielink, choose the programme 'European Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (part‑time, English)' at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. You must finish this step before 1 May.

Step 3 – Activate your AUAS ID and email

After AUAS has processed your Studielink registration, you receive an e‑mail with an invitation to activate your AUAS ID and AUAS email account. Your AUAS ID gives access to AUAS digital systems and your AUAS e‑mail is used for all official communication about your application. Activate your AUAS ID as soon as possible and check your AUAS e‑mail regularly.

Step 4 – Upload your application documents

After your Studielink registration you receive a second email with a link to the AUAS Serviceportal. Use your AUAS ID to log in and upload your application documents.

  • Applicants with a BSc in Occupational Therapy
Upload a scan of your BSc OT diploma and diploma supplement (plus certified English translations if needed), an official English language test result, a CV in English, a 2‑page motivation letter and a copy of your passport.
  • Applicants with another OT qualification or related BSc
Upload a scan of your diploma and diploma supplement (plus certified English translations if needed), an official English language test result, a CV in English, a 2‑page motivation letter, a copy of your passport and a professional portfolio that shows you meet the entrance competences.

Step 5 – Admission decision and enrolment

Once your application is complete, the Admissions Committee reviews your documents and portfolio. They check whether you meet the admission criteria and entrance competences. You then receive an admission statement and an admission letter, which may include conditions and deadlines.

Step 6 - Pay your tuition fees

If you are admitted without further conditions, you must pay your tuition fees in time to complete your enrolment. EU/EEA citizens pay their tuition fees to Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, usually by mid‑August at the latest. Swiss citizens or residents and non‑EU/EEA citizens pay their fees to Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) after their additional enrolment there.

Step 7 – Arrange visas and travel

You will study in 5 different European countries. Depending on your citizenship and residence, you may need one or more short‑stay visas. Since the OT‑EuroMaster is a part‑time programme, it is not possible to apply for a long‑stay visa. Start preparing visa applications early, ideally 3 months before you travel, and use the admission and invitation letters you receive from the universities.

How to apply guide

All steps of the application process are described in detail in the How to apply guide for the OT‑EuroMaster. The guide explains the admission criteria, required documents, deadlines and practical tips to help you prepare your application.
