Studio Responsible AI

The Responsible Artificial Intelligence studio offers you the opportunity to work on current challenges where AI plays an important role. Together with fellow students, lecturers, and professionals from the field, you design, develop, and evaluate AI applications in a responsible way. You will work on technical projects, such as training AI models and creating prototypes, while also learning how to justify your choices responsibly. This studio is the place for students who want to combine a practical and careful approach to make an impact with AI.

Detection through Image Recognition

Investigate whether image recognition can be used to detect things on the street, such as litter, accessibility issues, and/or damaged road markings (in collaboration with the Municipality of Amsterdam or Fietskoerier / Velotech).

AI Art Object in the Neighborhood

Design and develop an AI art object together with residents to strengthen connection within a neighborhood.
Professional product: An application of the “Neighborhood Story Wall,” where people can create stories together with generative AI. (Project It Takes a Village to Grow Old, Digital Life).

Automated Insect Photography

Contribute to the development of Diopsis: an advanced, modern system for fully automated photographing, identifying, and monitoring of insects. (in collaboration with Naturalis).
