Profile Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Profile Artificial Intelligence Engineer

An Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer focuses on developing and applying AI technologies to solve problems.

This is done using techniques such as machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and computer vision.

An AI Engineer works on building systems that can process data and, based on that, learn independently, make predictions, or make decisions.

The focus is on designing, training, and implementing AI models that provide useful insights for various practical applications.

Which studios offer this profile?

  1. Data Driven Business (Semester 1 and 2)

Learning outcomes Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Analysis
The student iteratively analyzes data, applicability, and usability of AI technologies in a methodical manner, with the goal of validating, improving, or identifying new solutions that align with the target audience and project objectives of a client. The student adopts an investigative attitude and utilizes relevant recognized standards and statistical methods.

Advising
The student provides advice on an appropriate AI solution based on insights gained from analysis, design, or implementation. The student presents a well-founded recommendation in a convincing manner. The justification explicitly addresses the (societal) impact of the choices made in the advice. The student uses communication methods that suit the target audience.

Designing
The student designs an AI solution in coordination with stakeholders. The design takes into account the (ethical) implications for stakeholders, with an emphasis on privacy, security, sustainability, and inclusion.

Implementation
The student implements an AI solution based on the design. The student uses appropriate tools and technologies for implementation. The implementation meets industry standards and best practices for AI solutions. The student tests the implemented solution against acceptance criteria and standards and validates it with stakeholders.

Manage & Control
The student manages, monitors, and documents the iterative development process using development standards. The student utilizes tools and a structured approach to support the development and management process. The student collaborates constructively and communicates proactively with stakeholders to manage and ensure the quality of the development and/or management process. The student takes responsibility for their contribution to the collaboration and the final result.

Personal Leadership
The student is proactive in recognizing opportunities, taking initiative, and engaging collaboration partners and stakeholders. The student inspires others by sharing knowledge and insights. The student directs their own learning process, can justify their choices, and reflects on their development. The student actively seeks feedback from multiple sources.
