Minors for free movers and alumni

If your university is not part of KOM and does not have a partnership with us, it may be possible to come as a 'free mover'. Find out what the conditions are below. There are also special conditions for alumni and students from private universities.

Application procedure

  • If your university is in the Netherlands, first see if they are part of the Kies-op-Maat network.
  • If your university is not in the Netherlands, see if they have a partner agreement with us on our Exchange page. Each faculty lists the partnerships they have.
  • If you are outside the first two categories, you are known as a 'free mover.' If your educational institution does not want to cover the cost of our minor, then you can enrol as a course participant. In the academic year 2024-2025 the cost of a minor (30 ECTS) is 5000 euro. You pay this amount before the start of the programme.
  • Alumni, course participants, a students of a non-subsidised programmes(private programmes, contract education) can choose from the minors offered on Kies-op-Maat. Please contact AUAS instead to explore the possibilities. Contact details can be found at the bottom of this page. When you are admitted to a minor, you will have to arrange matters such as financial settlement yourself. In the academic year 2024-2025 the cost of a minor (30 EC) is 5000 euro. You will receive an invoice before the start of the minor.
  • Please note that there is a limited number of minor places available. Placement takes place in order of arrival signed (Kies op Maat) learning agreement.
