Research
The Centre for Applied Research Faculty Health, Sport and Physical Activity is the strategic, organisational, and policy-based home for all research groups and their research, linked to the faculty of the same name. The research approach varies widely, from academic research in collaboration with the Amsterdam UMC academic hospital, to action-oriented research conducted within various living labs. The Centre for Applied Research supports these forms of research, particularly in areas such as quality and finance.
Many of our researchers are also lecturers at the AUAS, using the latest research insights in their teaching. Students learn to adapt to a changing society and develop new solutions. In this way, we instill a research-oriented mindset in future (district) nurses, paramedics, dieticians, physical education teachers, and entrepreneurs, so they can immediately contribute to a healthy city after graduation.
