European Master of Science in Occupational Therapy part-time

About us

The OT EuroMaster is a degree programme developed and taught by occupational therapists, researchers and Occupational Science scholars. It is designed for qualified occupational therapists. Academic staff at the 5 partner universities work closely together as one team. This ensures that you experience the programme as one coherent whole, despite physical distance and different university systems.

The European MSc in Occupational Therapy is an academic programme at Master’s level in an international environment, designed for occupational therapists. You learn from many different perspectives and reflect deeply on practice in a critical and respectful way. You work together in international and intercultural teams, build an international network and become part of a strong professional community.

Accreditation

This programme has existed since 1999 and was one of the first MSc degrees in Occupational Therapy in Europe. It is a high‑quality programme, accredited by the Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO) as a WO master in 2006, 2010, 2016 and 2023.

In 2010 and 2016, the programme was awarded the Distinctive Quality Feature of Internationalisation and, in 2023, the Certificate for Quality in Internationalisation. Both are based on the criteria of the European Consortium for Accreditation (ECA).

In the Dutch system, a WO master is a research‑oriented Master’s programme that is usually offered by universities. It is therefore exceptional that the OT‑EuroMaster is accredited as a WO master, while the hosting institution is a University of Applied Sciences.

Visit the official NVAO website (opens in new window) for the results of our accreditation.

Vision

The European Master of Science in Occupational Therapy creates a body of advanced knowledge and skills from an occupational perspective. As an international community, we enable graduates to contribute to an inclusive, healthy and sustainable society in Europe and beyond.
