ERASMUS+ Education for the Future

Project

With the aim of training teachers and school leaders, the Master's in Educational Theory at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS) cooperates with Pädagogische Hochschule Zürich, Schulamt Liechtenstein and the University of Tallinn. The Education for the Future module has been embedded in the post-initial training programmes of the institutions (for the AUAS, the Master's degree programme in Educational Theory). A European Erasmus+ grant has allowed the joint teaching module to be developed further and to be made more sustainable over the course of three years.

This Education for the Future module aims to have teachers and school leaders reflect on trends and developments in society as well as the consequences that they may have for education systems, schools, teachers and pupils. Via study visits, participants also become familiar with the education systems of the other countries. As a result, they receive input for innovations at their own schools.

Continuation of the project

Another Erasmus+ grant was obtained in 2017, which enables this exchange programme to be continued and developed further. This time, there will be a better equilibrium between participating countries, while the exchange programme will also devote greater attention to developing the agency of teachers and school leaders.
