What are the expenses at AMFI?

To study at the AMFI you have to pay an annual tuition fee. In addition, you have costs for professional supplies such as books, magazines, fabrics and excursions and you have to take into account costs for living expenses and insurance, for example.

Tuition fees

The tuition fees are adjusted each year. Check the current rates.

Other expenses

In addition to the tuition fees, you will have to take into account the costs for books, fabric, materials, supplies, mandatory excursions and other expenses incurred by your field of study. This is approximately €800 per year, but may vary slightly depending on which graduation specialisation you choose to pursue.

Housing

Amsterdam is one of the most popular university cities in the Netherlands, so the demand for reasonably priced accommodation is very high. Since Dutch universities are not allowed to own housing properties under Dutch law, the AUAS cannot facilitate accommodations for all international students. You are ultimately responsible for your own accommodation. To assist international students with finding suitable accommodation, the AUAS has agreements with various housing corporations in Amsterdam to provide furnished accommodation for a maximum period of one year. To make the allocation of housing as fair as possible for all, we work with a lottery draw which takes place in early June.
