The starting point for a change in educational programmes can come from different places in the landscape of higher education. The Landscape Overview tool helps you get an overview of the relevant factors affecting your change project.

To use the instrument, you can ask the group to identify a starting arrow or ‘connection’ on the diagram, related to the change project. This ‘connection’ can be anywhere on the diagram, for what is urgent, easy, or interesting to the group. Over the course of the discussion you can move from connection to connection, until all four quarters of the diagram are covered.
Discuss research in your team
The Higher Education, Research and Innovation (HERI) research grouphas developed tools and workshops to discuss the integration of research and education with your team. This can help to determine what changes are needed or how results can be measured.
