When do I receive a refund of my financial means for living expenses?  

After the first 2 weeks of September (after the start of your study programme) we will send you a refund form. We cannot speed up this process, so take enough money with you to sustain yourself in the first two months after arrival.  
 
Should you start in Spring Semester you will receive the refund form the first two weeks of February. 

Important

It is not possible to receive a partial refund. After payments have been transferred, the refund can only be made after arrival and start of the study programme.   

I have not received my refund yet? 

After you have received confirmation that we have sent your refund form to the financial department, the transfer will take between 5-15 working (business) days (international transfers might take even longer). Please e-mail us again if you have not received your transfer after 15 working (business) days. 

Note: you do not receive a separate e-mail confirming the transfer. You need to check your account yourself to see whether you have received the transfer. 


Can I transfer the refund to an account that is not in my name? 

After your arrival and the start of your study programme, we will send you a refund form and we will refund you the money on your Dutch bank account. It is not possible to use someone else's account for the refund.  

 

Do I need to open a Dutch bank account to receive a refund? 

Yes, AUAS transfers the refund to your Dutch bank account.
