Result and ranking number

Did you take part in the Sport Studies selection?

Then on 15 April 2026 you received your result and your ranking number.

Your ranking number is based on your results in the selection.

Is your ranking number within the maximum number of places for Sport Studies? Then on 15 April you were offered a place straight away via Studielink.

You had to accept this place in Studielink within 2 weeks.
If you do not accept the place in time, you lose your place.

How long is the result valid?

Your ranking number is only valid for the academic year 2026–2027.

Have you been selected for Sport Studies, but would you prefer to start in September 2027 instead of September 2026?

Then you must take part in the selection again next year.
You cannot use your current ranking number again.

Medical examination

Have you accepted the place you were offered?
Then at the beginning of June you will receive an invitation for the medical examination. You will receive this invitation by e‑mail.

Chance of getting a place

Sport Studies has room for 330 students in the academic year 2026–2027, 96 spots for Sport Studies – track ISMB and 234 spots for the Dutch track Sportkunde.

507 candidates took part in the selection. Every participant received a ranking number on 15 April: from 1 to 507.

Participants with numbers 1 to 330 were offered a place immediately on 15 April.
They must accept this place within 2 weeks.

If they do not accept it, or if they later withdraw, their place becomes available for the next ranking numbers.

Do you have a higher ranking number?

Is your ranking number higher than 330? Then of course you want to know whether you still have a chance of getting a place – and when.

• Is your number just above 330? Then things may already change shortly after 15 April.
• Is your number much higher? Then you will probably need to be more patient.

On this page you can see each week up to which ranking number we have already offered a place. This helps you to estimate your chance of getting a place between 15 April and 31 August.

• 31 August is the last day on which AUAS offers places.
• So check this page regularly, also during the summer. 
• This is especially important just after the results of the national final exams for HAVO/VWO.
• In this period some participants unfortunately have to give up their place because they did not pass. Then ranking numbers can move up quickly.
