We train young professionals for a career in ICT. Participate in real-life cases, study new developments, interact with other young people. Enjoy the challenging atmosphere of our university. Our international programme is aimed at 2nd, 3rd and 4th year undergraduate students of our partner Institutions. Computer Sciences & Information Technology is part of the faculty of Digital Media and Creatieve Industries.

During the first semester of the 2021-2022 academic year the AUAS can welcome incoming international exchange students from its partners under certain conditions.

Information Technology and Computer Science offers the following exchange programmes.


Autumn: 6 September 2021 - 28 January 2022

Spring: 7 February 2022 - 8 July 2022

* the programming Language Kotlin (OOP) is used. Preparatory self-study is advised

** the programming language Python is used (pandas, sqlalchemy and scikitlearn) Preparatory self-study is advised

***Students need to have advanced skills in Game Design and patterns and practices in Game Engineering.

Next to the compulsory courses and project in your thematic semester you can optionally take one or more of the following courses:

Please Note:

  1. Enrolments are processed on a first-in basis when all the pre-requisites are met. We advise you to enrol in Students Come and Go as soon as possible as some semesters have a limited number of spots.
  2. Students must be there from the very beginning to the very end of the semester
  3. The semester programme has to be taken as a whole as it is a coherent package
  4. Programming skills are required for all semesters
  5. You need to upload your CV and transcript in our enrolment system (below) in order for us to check if your background matches your choice.
  6. AFTER acceptance, we will change your application from pending to enrolled in our system. If you cannot be accepted, you will be informed as well.
  7. Students must be prepared to do team work during the whole semester
  8. Students in the Mobile Development semester will do a project in a company for two days a week. Travel costs might be incurred and have to be paid by the students themselves.
  9. The following electives are offered to exchange students in order to earn 30 ECTS: Survival Dutch (2 ECTS), Intercultural Skills (2 ECTS), English: Communicating like a Pro (2 ECTS)

At our inhouse IT company IRP/WOSI students can do an internship in many IT disciplines.

Online : Sustainable Innovation Boot Camp 15 March - 29 April 2021 /

Innovation Boot Camp 4 May - 10 June 2021

Online international Sustainable Innovation Boot Camp and Innovation Boot Camp:

Each Bootcamps takes 6 weeks

  • online workshops on Monday night
  • 8 hours of work per week
  • team coaching on Thursday night
  • you come up with an innovative concept in an international group of students
  • Each Bootcamp will earn you 3 ECTS

The Sustainable Innovation Boot camp (15 March – 29 April 2021) is a collaboration between Hogeschool van Amsterdam (HvA), The Netherlands, the Hochschule Kempten, Germany and the St. Petersburg University, Russia. Weekly classes on Monday and Thursday from 18.00 till 20.00 PM.

The Innovation Boot Camp (4 May – 10 June) is a collaboration between Hogeschool van Amsterdam (HvA), The Netherlands, Karel de Grote University College (KdG), Belgium, and the Hochschule der Medien (HdM) Stuttgart, Germany. Weekly classes on Tuesday and Thursday from 20.00 till 22.00 PM.


The online international Sustainable- and Innovation Boot Camp apply Design Thinking and Innovation practices in the field of Entrepreneurship. With an emphasis on entrepreneurial ideas which support sustainable development goals.

Participants on the 6 week course, will have the unique opportunity to explore sustainable innovation and business-related models. To collaborate creatively, think about new technologies and apply design thinking techniques to come up with entrepreneurial solutions, for specific problems or challenges they would like to help solve in the world. During the weeks, distinguished lecturers from different countries will tutor and coach students from around the world in an intensive online study program. Participating students can earn 3 ECTS in the Innovation Boot Camp.

The Innovation Boot Camp virtual learning process, is a combination of online tutoring, self study, coaching and practical assignments. The assignments allow individuals to evolve their own thinking through co-creation with others, as well as develop their own capabilities and self-reflection.


The Sustainable Innovation Boot camp and the Innovation Boot Camp are open to B.A. students from all subject areas.
