Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences

Denzell - Fourth-year student

'I believe limits are self-imposed and the moment you step out of bed you strive to better than you were yesterday. I am 24 years old and born and raised in the Netherlands.'

About me

'During my time at Sport Studies - track ISMB I went to Paris for my first internship, joined the honours group Pamoja Kenya and have done my minor Business Administration: Management Strategy and Marketing, at the University of Amsterdam. I started Sport Studies – track ISMB when I was 21, before this I did VWO and studied Criminology at the University of Leiden.

I chose Sport Studies – track ISMB because of how practical the study is. This was something I missed in my previous courses. Sports play a huge part in my life since I believe this helps with both your physical and mental health. It's a great way to boost someone’s confidence. What I love to do most is spread positive energy, make people laugh and help them find the inspiration to realise they can do whatever they dream of. WINNING STREAK!!'

Hobbies and interests

'My hobbies are heavily focused on playing and watching sports, mainly football and basketball. Besides that, running is getting more and more important as I will run the Leiden Marathon this year in under 4 hours. Whenever I'm not playing sports or trying to get my friends to get off their butts, I am either watching a Marvel movie or reading a book that inspires me to be better.'
